Kington 3.0

Kearsarge Kingston (Kingston, MA)

About the Project:

Completed in 2022, Kearsarge was awarded the rights to develop, construct, own and operate this project through a competitive RFP process with the town of Kingston, MA. This system, located on the Town’s former landfill, consists of a 2.8 MW ballasted ground mount and 4MWh DC coupled energy storage system.

Prior to construction, there was an obsolete wind turbine that had halted production in 2016. Kearsarge worked with the Town to remove the turbine and install the solar array and battery, boosting clean energy production. This project became operational in 2022.
