Kearsarge Amesbury (Amesbury, MA)

Kearsarge developed, financed and constructed this 4.5 MW DC ballast-mount solar array in Amesbury, MA. Kearsarge’s first solar plus storage facility to participate in the Massachusetts SMART Solar Program, the facility uses a state of the art 1,600 kW battery storage system engineered by Massachusetts-headquartered NEC Energy Solutions.

Developed in close partnership with the City of Amesbury, the array is constructed on a former landfill with otherwise limited development potential. The City will receive alternative on bill credits, plus tax and lease revenue. The project was completed in December, 2019.
