Kearsarge Ayer

Kearsarge Ayer (Ayer, MA)

Part of the historic Nashoba valley, the area was once home to the Nashaway Native American tribe, who shared the land with English colonists arriving in the 17th century.

This 1.2 MW ground mount array was put into service in 2017, and generates almost 1,300,000 kWh per year; sharing in the net metering credits for the site is HAP, a non-profit developer of affordable housing. Sited on previously unproductive land, the project will also provide revenues to the Town of Ayer over its lifetime.
