Mount Saint Mary's Solar I (Franklin, MA)

Through an innovative and mutually beneficial partnership with Mount Saint Mary’s Abbey Kearsarge developed two separate ground-mounted projects, the first 3.6 MW DC.  Mount Saint Mary’s has been nationally recognized for its leading commitment to renewable energy, as it employs wind, geothermal and now Solar for on-site use and operating income.  Net Metering Credits from the project are sold through a long-term agreement to the Town of Franklin, creating a very successful and high profile public-private partnership between the landowner, the Project, and the host town.  Kearsarge managed a complex interconnection process with National Grid for these landmark projects.  Commercial Operations at Franklin Project 1 began November 2013.
